Prepare for the Coming of the Messiah takes inspired by Raphael’s Madonna della Sedia incorporates classical style with 20th century baby doll, protruding and painted into and out of the canvas. The doll, at once fragile and unsettling, becomes a vessel for uncertainty and longing for transformation. It is an intrusion that echoes the enduring beliefs  of faith and the possibility of renewal in unexpected, imperfect ways. The work circles around messianic belief, rebirth, second comings and transformations.
