“Searching for Peace of Mind” is an exploration of dichotomies. The duality of hope and the persistent shadow of conflict. The canvas itself becomes a canvas for duality, split into two panels seamlessly joined to offer simultaneous perspectives of the front and the back of a canvas. Branches of an olive tree span across both panels. On one side, a dove is tangled in between olive branches looking out at the distance. On the opposing panel, the dove is seen from the back. Its perspective and gaze is towards a distant, turbulent landscape engulfed hues of turmoil and strife.
Interwoven within this narrative is the enigmatic presence of a raven, perched at the edge of the canvas, perhaps bearing an olive branch, a harbinger of both wisdom and foreboding, echoing the complexities of the human experience and the fragile nature of peace, the enduring legacy of conflict, and the nuanced interplay between hope and despair.
