On one panel, Venus emerges, not from a mythical seashell, but into a contemporary reality – adorned with the emblems of youth and self-expression (a nose and eyebrow piercing). She embodies an idealized beauty, vibrant and confident, reflecting our current times.
The opposing panel confronts this idealized image, presenting a canvas in disarray – crumpled faded and distorted.
